If you have a google+ or facebook page or some other web page where you write a bit about your projects, feel free to sign up to be on the list!
Now A Stitcher's Pen officially has it's own domain name, www.astitcherspen.com. I will be recirculating the link, so now is a good time to add your blog to the list!
Now I have organized the blog pages by each letter instead of a bunch of letters grouped together. The lists are shorter and more manageable that way. (Of course, the last 4 letters only have a handful of blogs so they are bunched up.) Be sure to add your blog to the list! I will be updating regularly.
I've been extremely busy working on my new store, but it's (mostly) done for the moment. So it's about time this site got some love. I got a proper domain name for this site, and there is much to do with editing the list of blogs, so just a little more time and there will be some changes here. In the meantime, there are plenty of blogs to read and enjoy!
Finally, new blogs are being added. I got a bit overwhelmed with things that needed attention. All those with blogs that signed up to be added, have been added today. If you take the time to fill in the form, you are more or less guaranteed to be added, as long as you are somewhat active and something related to textiles and stitching. More blogs and featured blogs are coming soon. Sorry for the inactivity!
One more little thing - I will be moving all blog lists so that there is one page per letter, far easier to update this way!
Things have been a little slow getting going, but new blogs are added at least once a week. The featured blog section is intended to have at least 1 blog/week, so that is slowly getting into motion. Keep checking back, and be sure to add your blog to the list!
Sharon B wrote an article about why crafters should be blogging (http://wordcastnet.com/2011/craft-month-why-should-crafters-and-artists-blog/#more-4462 ). It's definitely worth a read, even if you are already blogging. Not only does Sharon give reasons why you should be blogging, but also ways to use your blog to help you as a crafter.
If you want to see your blog on the list, go to Add Your Blog.
There are a few considerations. The first is regular posting. Blogs with no posts for over a month or two won't be included. Another consideration is that ideally your blog will have been around for awhile. This is to avoid those that aren't so serious, but new blogs will be included too. And there is one more requirement. The blog must be at least mostly about some textile craft - preferably your own rather than just a report of other people's works. The blog lists will be checked periodically for deleted and abandoned blogs in order to keep the list a bit fresh.
The blog list is starting to take shape. I'm just making a note of the primary interest of each blog. This is not to say that's the only thing each blogger writes about. Start reading today! I've already seen much to be impressed and inspired by out there.
Hi and welcome to stitching and textile blog central. This site is just getting going now. It will take a bit of time to add the content, so do be sure to come back!!
